Carcassonne

Hi Guys

I’m of to Carcassonne for the middle two weeks in August, with the wife, kids, stepdad, my mate his girl friend and her kids.
(why do I say yes to these things. Yes drink was involved)

As you can guess I WILL need some time off or there could be some deaths in Carcassonne.

Is there any car or bike things going on in that area that I could go to, for some me time.

Pau circuit, whilst not adjacent, may provide diversion, they have a site detailing stuff but I don't have the address sorry, some guys have been there for training/trackdays said the 911's were the dogs

Albi is pretty close as well. Nice town with a great Cathedral (and a race circuit!) Not sure if anything`s on.

I thought Pau was a street circuit?

The historic GP at Pau (24th-28th May this year) is a street circuit, and a very good one, but there is a small circuit outside of Pau as well, not sure how much it is used though.

Small circuit of Nogaro is not too far away and looked interesting when I passed by a few years ago (from Carcassonne en route to Atlantic coast) checkout www.circuit-nogaro,com  there is a Ducati meet in August.
