French PH Meet - Beer, Food, Good Time! April?
Discussion
Right, Hi all, Here's the thing, life in France is great, blah blah, quality of life, blah blah, nice people, blah.....I have been here 3 years now and it can get thoroughly boring and it is miserable outside at the moment. What I really need is a good old fashioned night out, or in, drinking lots of beer, talking about cars, French paperwork, women, men, frienships, troubles, with fellow French Based PHers.
This is a perfect forum for it as we are going to be mildly interesting or we wouldn't be here! The expat community locally is great for swapping sewing patterns but thats about it.
Here's what I thought, we could Hijack somewhere like Jasons' Chateau De Charly as it is pretty central, everyone chip in to cover him, food etc, and everyone arrive 6ish Saturdy with beer, food whatever, say hello, everyone have a nice evening getting sloshed, crash over and then leave the following day thoroughly fulfilled with car chat etc. Would be nice to put some faces to names here!
I am also happy to host at my place here in Toulouse, would be free, but this is a long haul for you Northern France peeps.
It would be a bit of work for everyone, I am 5 hours drive from Paris in Toulouse, but I think the getting away for short weekend is a good thing, wifes, partners welcome etc,
Jason? What do you think?
What does everyone think?
Can we get this going?
Can anyone be bothered?
No time like the present, Drink away your Budget woes etc!
It might even be fun, I doubt it, but it might be.
Justin.

Hello, I would love to be able to host something for PHeadsers.
It would be great to talk cars etc.. the only thing is we are sadly not in a position to let everybody just crash over. We would need to charge for our rooms as this is our only source of income at the moment which at best is not enough right now.
Sorry we cant offer more but I still hope you want to use us as a venue. As Justin said we are central and the place is certainly big enough.

PVA - where abouts in France will you be moving to?I guess this has not happened yet. If it is going to take place then please let me know. We are currently house hunting in the North Aveyron/Lot areas. (Villefranche-de-Rouergue/Figeac). Only 90 minutes from Toulouse, so would be happy if it was in that area or further north.
Justin, are you living there full time, or part time with Cheshire?
Please keep me posted, as I have not got into the habit of checking this part of the forum (yet).
A bientot.
