Hotels with Secure Parking
Discussion
A couple of us are planning a drive from Madrid through France to the UK via Calais in early summer. We're intending to do the journey by motorway with a couple of stopovers on the way - one around Bordeau and another West of Paris to South of Rouen. We would be grateful if anyone knows of hotels or other accommodation roughly in these areas having genuine secure car parking?
Hi, can't help you with your question, but i would er, question your need for secure parking in France.
Once out of Britain, the car crime capital of the world has been left behind. In my experience, the French have a totally different attitude towards nice cars, they are very positive indeed, and the spite and envy that thrives in Britain simply does not seem to exist at all.

I would like to second the comments of Heebeegeebee! Car insurance seems somewhat cheaper here as a result. Nice cars are admired, not envied.
I have never found a really good hotel around Rouen. If you are following the A10 up, then searching around Tours is probably best, particularly if you enjoy good food and wine.
Try searching on http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk If you aim for a 2 star / 3 chimney hotel, I am confident that you will not be disappointed.

Its pretty good & the views from the balcony are stunning.
Its between Paris & Rouen so its in the right area for you, good roads around there too if you want to keep off the motorways.
The car park in front of the hotel is best, as the one opposite has a steep kerb that has been known to remove the rear end of the occasional TVR.
