Hi Guys

I should be coming to Calais Friday - Sat for a quick shopping spree.

The main reason I am going is to get my hands on the hard to find Nintendo wii.

We seem to be sold out in the UK but I was told there is plenty in france.

Can anyone confirm this and let me know any names of stores I should be looking for and perhaps even reserve a couple before I come?

Thanks

Puggit

Train or ferry? If you come in by train, head straight for Cite Europe which is a large shopping complex next to the Eurotunnel terminal.

If you come in by ferry, you need to follow the A16 towards Boulogne and exit at jc 41 or 43. There's also an Auchan supermarket nearby - map linky

Eurotunnel. It's great smile I have been to France a few times

Do you think I would be able to buy a few Wii! Do they have restrictions in France on number of purchases like here in the UK?

There is no limit on the number of electrical goods I can bring back is there?

Its funny you should mention this as I was in the super market the other day and was amazed at the number of wii that were available as I recalled last year my brother-in-law had a nightmare trying to find one. I have seen loads of wii in Geant and Carrefour. Sorry not sure where those stores are around Calais.

I cant see what the problem would be if brought back a number of them as long as they were for the purpose of gifts!!!

I may be wrong but I think the Customs Laws allow you to bring goods back for your OWN USE so not sure how you could say that the 20 Wii in your boot are all for yousmile
