Howdo European PHers

I know a fair few guy have moved to France recently and I was wondering if I could pick your collective brains for some information?

Im planning on moving to France, hopefully next year, to be with my lady, but having looked around the internet for advice on what to do and how to go about it, a lot of the information I came accross was contradictory to say the least.

So I thought I would ask the people who have actually moved over to France full time

I need to know everything there is to know about moving out there if you could be so kind

I know its a lot of information so if anyone wishes to help me with this, please email me on Scott D Downey @ hotmail.com (as always, remove the spaces)

Thanks in advance

All the best and merry crimbo

You'll get a much better response from the forum on www.livingfrance.com there is also one called totalfrance, they will give you all the information you need.
Just don't start by saying 'I'm thinking of moving to france and setting up a B+B,will I be able to make a living ?',you'll get absolutely slaughtered and rightly so.yes

Annecy is nice. I love Lac Annecy in particular.
Annecy is also ideal for jaunts to Mont Blanc and Chamonix, two of my favourite places.
It's not far from the south either with good roads everywhere.

It's a lovely area - I'm just round the corner from you, living just outside (and working in) Geneva on the French side of the border.

I'll drop you a line shortly should you have any questions, don't hesitate!
