Does anyone over here in France know where you can buy those small disposible CO2 cannisters for use with small MIG welders? I know where I can get hold of the large gas bottles and adaptors, but given the amount of welding I do in a year, it seems abit of an overkill.

Some of the larger DIY stores sell welders so may do the gas. If your in Paris could try BHV or Bricorama. If not speak to a local bodyshop, maybe they can point you to a supplier.

I think I may have found some, a large depot store has them listed, so at least thats a start. As for them being unavailable, most of the welders over here are ARC welders so small C02 bottles are pretty rare.

I've seen welding gas bottles for sale in DIY stores - try Castorama or Bricorama.
