Worth rerouting to avoid Charles DG airport? Paris Calais
Discussion
Driving to Disneyland Paris on Wednesday, planning on taking the A26 / A1 route going as usual.
Heading back though, will be Friday rush hour-ish. The only advice I can find is years old so was after a more recent opinion if anyone has done this recently?
Apparently traffic can build up near the airport on the A1, I had wondered if it’s worth rerouting up the N330 to pick up the A1 at Senlis (red line). I believe it’s a route that trucks use to cut the corner. However because of that it might be busier in itself.
If the delay would only be 30-60 mins then I’d be inclined to just stick with the satnavved route and suck it up for simplicity.

Hard to say really I'm afraid. Certainly if you were in Paris and coming out, I would recommend not going up the A1 if you can avoid it but as you're a bit further out already it shouldn't be so bad. On the other hand your red route should be easier and probably leave you with more options if traffic does turn. Honestly, I'd wait to the last minute and take the decision then based on what Mr Google says.
