TFL ULEZ fines
Discussion
Monday this week I received a letter containing 5 fines dating back to Dec 2021 for not paying the Transport for London Ultra Low Emission Zone charges. The letter was from Euro Parking Collection.
The ULEZ charge covers an area basically defined by inside the North and South Circular roads. If your vehicle does not meet Euro4 for petrol or Euro6 for diesel then you must pay a daily charge.
The ANPR systems catch the vehicles in the zone and check the plate against DVL system and charges accordingly.
The problem appears to be that if you are on a foreign plate then it automatically assumes you are not exempt and issues a fine.
My car is Euro6 compliant. I went on the EPC site and challenged the 5 fines. Today I got a letter confirming that my fines have been cancelled.
The next issue is that you need to go on the site and register your car along with a copy of the CG to make sure you are not charged the next time.

Thanks.
Mine is E4, I checked somewhere online.
Interestingly, I just appliued for a Crit Air sticker, (car is French registered).
Its turned up and its a "2". one below electric/hybrid cars
Considering it emits about 400 grams of whatever, to say I was surprised is an understatement!!
