Bought a superking from Ikea in Bordeaux. It was fine. Not sure why it wouldn't be, TBH.

My neighbour, whose van I borrowed, was a , but that's not Ikea's fault.

I also bought a bed in Ikea in Bordeaux. Pretty much the same experience as buying one in Ikea in Warrington.

Have bought furniture and stuff from Castorama and other such French stores before but found Ikea generally a better bet quality and price wise.

Ikea Bordeaux wouldn't do free shipping for us as we're 140km away.

We bought a Hemnes, IIRC.

Bonjour

We too bought two beds at IKEA in Bordeaux. Emergency imminent guests arriving purchase.
Hired a van from Intermarche.
We still have them as they have proved to be incredibly comfortable and robust.
Our other beds came from Shop Marriott (Hotels), which seemed like a good idea at the time, but they took ages to arrive.

This is Mrs C’s department. I seem to remember decent bed heads being very hard to source.

For those couples out there who have different mattress requirements and/or have their sleep disturbed by, and I quote "your constant wriggling", Ikea sell a 160 cm wide sommier and their full range of mattresses 80 cm wide. My wife has a soft one and I have a hard one. (Indulge me, it's Christmas smile )

I made an oak bed to suit, but Ikea sell them. 10cm wider than a UK king size.

Hopefully you find a nice comfy bed so that you are able to sleep well, rather than posting on PH at 6.04. redface

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.
