Buying a bed in France
Discussion
Bonjour
We too bought two beds at IKEA in Bordeaux. Emergency imminent guests arriving purchase.
Hired a van from Intermarche.
We still have them as they have proved to be incredibly comfortable and robust.
Our other beds came from Shop Marriott (Hotels), which seemed like a good idea at the time, but they took ages to arrive.
This is Mrs C’s department. I seem to remember decent bed heads being very hard to source.

For those couples out there who have different mattress requirements and/or have their sleep disturbed by, and I quote "your constant wriggling", Ikea sell a 160 cm wide sommier and their full range of mattresses 80 cm wide. My wife has a soft one and I have a hard one. (Indulge me, it's Christmas )
I made an oak bed to suit, but Ikea sell them. 10cm wider than a UK king size.
