Why are Euro Cars either Really Dull or Really Fugly?
Discussion
Incredible. I just saw some kind of Renault city car this morning where the designer has obviously looked at a smart car (an oxymoron in itself) and said "OK, how can I really fk this up?". Just looking at it would be a good trial for 'I'm a Celebrity', enough to make you vomit.
Then it occurred to me that continentals (and especially the French) seem to be very good at producing bland, nondescript euroboxes (mostly either silver or white) or they go right down the other end of the 'quirky' scale and produce truly horrible looking cars??
I think I need to sit down and take my meds....

You are somehow implying that Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc are somewhat better.I cannot think of a single non-supercar that is remotely desirable these days, especially when you look at their price-tag. We are just being conditioned to be ready to chose an EV so boring, that a high degree of autonomy is their only desirable feature.
Renault and Citroen bringing out ugly basic EVs fits the scenario by encouraging folk to buy a slightly better looking, and more expensive, EV.
