My run from Chalus to Calais was completed last night and the thing that struck me was that there was very little motorway traffic on the A20/A71/A10/A3/A1 and A26, in all the years I've been going back and forth (since 2004) I've never experienced such light traffic, there wasn't even a problem getting around Paris at 12:30. All the three services that I stopped at were virtually empty and that's not something I've seen before either; the first stope at Champs d'Amour on the A20 is usually very busy day and night but there were just about 10 cars and few trucks and the place was otherwise deserted and that was at 09:30. The next stop just after the last payage before Paris on the A10 was devoid of people too so it was easy to sit inside and have something to eat, all but one of the tables were free and that's something not usually possible at those services and not something I've experienced before!

All very strange....

I am headed up from Angouleme on Sunday and back on Monday. The forecast issues predict a bloody nightmare with truckers and farmers all striking, in addition to the yellow vests !!

Please pray for me smilesmile

That's why we left mid-week as the forecast for the weekend was not good at all. I guess people are staying off the roads due to the potential problems.

Unfortunately, I have no option to change as the guy I am meeting will only be there on Monday morning, and no, I am not an international spy !!

The other thing I noticed was the number of speed cameras that had been destroyed/vandalised (but not the Average Speed ones just N of Limoges that are high up on gantries).
