I already have a place close to Morzine / Alps. Wanted to look at surrounding areas and some properties in particular. In the UK; I’d look up the last sale price on the property I’m viewing and when that was; to build a picture of the sellers potential expectations.
Can’t find anything that’ll give individual sold prices for any given property / house / apartment.

I don't think such a thing exists in France. When the property is in the process of being sold/purchased the notaire will go through the history of the owners and what the property was sold for, at least that's what happened when we bought the next door barn (for which we were royally screwed by the farmer as evidenced by what he bought it for and then what he sold it to us for) where the calculations for the "plus value" are detailed. The old git (now deceased) bought it for the equivalent of £400 15 years before and sold it to us for the equivalent of £10k so had a large "plus value" to pay.
