Having made a few posts on the Full Fat forum I thought I would give this a try.
Currently in Pornichet on extended holiday with the car taken away to Nantes (Main dealer 46 miles away) as I have an ABS / HDC error lights after a few minutes driving.
Unfortunately it seems the MD say they do not have a code reader for my car (L322 2004 BMW unit), which I find astonishing.
I have tried other smaller local garages without success and even the recovery guy was unable to apply his code reader.

I am sure it is a minor fault ( chaffed wiring or dodgy ABS sensor, or even brake pedal switch), anyway without a code reader
it seems nothing can be done. Fortunately I have breakdown cover however the car may not be repaired I am told.

I have asked the MD in Nantes to carry out an ABS clean and inspection and am awaiting their reply today.

Really at my wits end and any suggestions welcomed. Hopefully the fault can be found as the car is dangerous to drive as ABS and HDC warning lights suddenly come on and when slowing to a junction then the car then struggles to move.

Surely there must be a L322 code reader and a competent mobile mechanic in France ...somewhere ?

Do not let the local mechanics bigger up your car.

Ship it back to UK on a low loader rather than do that

Range Rover club de France has a Facebook page.

Hope that helps. Or you could try Anglo info website and put a question in the right French region.

Good luck
