I'm wondering if I can purchase a prepaid or general pay as you go data sim off the shelf for use in Monaco, without a French or Monegasque address or bank account?

I need it for use at a yacht show to put in our stand wifi kit, there is a UK firm called Data Roam, but wondered if that was overcomplicating it.

Any info greatly appreciated.

My wife has a PAYG SIM for use in France, she got this through Orange.

I seem to recall the card was 40 euros, ID was required, but a British driving licence was sufficient.

She recharges with a recharge Max 30 or something which gives her 30 days of unlimited calls, texts and 2 GB of data for 30 euros.

There appears to be an option for internet only too, with up to 3 GB of data for a month for 25 euros.

Do not go for the Classiques package, as that doesn't include any data.

Details here;

We've always found Orange very helpful both in store and online, so would definitely recommend them, although there are possibly other deals out there which might be a little cheaper.

Do iD Mobile (Carphone Warehouse) or Three not offer anything?

They both offer data roaming abroad, I've used my Three phone in many countries.

Thanks for that, the Orange one would be a good option I reckon and it does work well in the Port.

We've just got back form France and got a SIM data from this company, http://www.transatel-datasim.com/

The connection and speed for the tablet was fine.

Thanks again, I think we have gone with Dataroam deal which was 20GB for around €90.

There will be 5 or 6 of us using it plus guest I imagine, so we wanted the option of a large data bundle. My only concern now is that when it gets busy at the show we traditionally loose all our comms and nothing works - always seems like there is iPhone overload and it jams the networks. The show wifi is also shocking.
