That's the last straw... Our (English) gardener has just given us his notice and so we need to find someone for that again.

Can anyone give some advice on where we should be marketing our property? The immobilier we purchased from has long since gone bust, as has the English 'Kirsty and Phil' service that we used.

Leggett seems to be one obvious choice. I guess a cheeky free 30 day ad here wouldn't hurt either.

The house is very much a holiday home due to layout and position.

Any advice gratefully received. 4 double-bed longere with 1.5 hectares, mostly woodland, in the Loir valley just outside La Chartre-sur-le-Loir (72) for those who want to know!

A friend owns the Hotel de France by your place. When you have details up drop me a link and I'll give it him. Often people looking in the vicinity due to LM etc.

Leggett seem to be the best, and we're looking at eight properties through them. Best search functionality, good agents and IIRC they were voted the best estate agency in France. Again.

I hope it all goes well for you.

Thanks - you don't want a lovely old cottage in the Loire by any chance? hehe

It's probably out of our budget...besides, my lady and I are straw bale house builders so we're looking for a renovation project and also need to buy additional property for my parents to live in.

Still, send me a link ;-)

If I were to sell in France again I would see if the likes of Urban co.uk would advertise a property in France via Rightmove international.
I sold 3 through agents and one via angloinfo forum.
I have just sold our place with Urban, took ages and maybe an agent would have been quicker but I didn't like what they was saying and I'm not a lover of estate agents in the UK or solicitors come to that so I sold private, Urban have been very good.
