We live between Ales and Anduze. It's a lovely area and we have no regrets about moving there (about 6 years ago), and house prices are sensible, unlike 100kms to the east! PM me if you have any specific questions.

Small world.

Two years ago we stayed at Vers and visites Vezenobres frequently.

Loved the area.

We had planned to buy in the area. My wife was insisted we visit Provence.
We found the Carpentras very interesting, but as you suggest prices are very different!

We didn't find that Provence has anything to offer that the Gard doesn't (unless you want Russian neighbours!). Peter Mayle has a lot to answer for!
