West coast ideas for car fun!
Discussion
Gents, I'm spending a week in a villa with a friend this August. The ladies and kids are flying down/back and we're driving down in his '73 911 Carrera and my '80 E12 M535i.
The villa is down near the FR/ES border. We'll be driving home up the west side via Pau for some skids on the old GP circuit. Obviously we'll knock into Le Mans on the way to Calais too at the Bugatti setup.
Is there anything interesting on a route between Pau and Le Mans? Could be a track, interesting roads/route etc. Basically something fun rather than hitting the peage.

Ben, shame on you.
My place for pissy dinner/barbecue etc. possible thrash round Haute Saintonge circuit depending on your mode of transport. Let me know your dates(PM if you wish) I will get the thinking cap on from there. We are 20 mins from Angoulême as in circuit de Remparts (sadly not till September) which is approx an hour and a quarter NE of Bordeaux if you take the N10, which you invariably will if heading for Le Mans.
