Buying a company van - insurance

One small issue is that it will be brit registered and Stuart Collins or Herts insurance will only insure a personally owned vehicle, not a company one.

Could I insure it with a French insurer?

But if you buy it wont it then be a private van? If you give a copy of the logbook to your French insurer then they will insure it for you to drive from the UK to your French home.

It's more tax advantageous for the company to own it, so the logbook will be in the company name. I will enquire with the French insurers!
