How does he explain himself when you ask when he's coming?

If he clearly doesn't want to do your job, ask him to release you from your contract and then find someone else.

I've come to the conclusion that if I can't do it myself then almost without exception I don't do it. However, having almost finished phase one of my barn conversion (carpentry, stone masonry, plasterboarding, electrics, plumbing, tiling and decorating) the only artisan involvement was installing our microstation. Although I can't quibble with their workmanship I just don't think the delays and high costs are justified.

It's been said elsewhere but I just don't get how entrepreneur is a French word.
