Mods please don't move this to food and drink, this is question relating directly to this region.

I was on holiday in Cap d'Agde/Marseillan Plage a few years ago (not the naturist/nudists resorts, honest!) and one of the local delicacies I developed a penchant for was a baguette with a long spicy sausage in it, anyone know what these are called? (or even what type of sausage it might have been).

Merguez. Moroccan sausage. Ten a penny in France but hard to find in the UK. I seem to remember that Sainsbury's sell them.
