A few weeks back they proudly announced the introduction of a new computer system to "make life easier for their customers". Naturally, the bloody system broke down and it is now over one week since I have been able to access my accounts on line. Not a word on radio or TV, and I can't help comparing this to the headlines such problems made in the UK. On telephoning my branch, since I need a RIB, I was given the telephone version of the gallic shrug. Is it the same all over France or just regional?

I've just accessed our CA account on-line successfully but, like all French banking, it's regional so our CA isn't the same as yours. Our region is Centre-Ouest. I recall once putting the card in a CA machine in Chateau-du-Loir (not far from you?) and being unable to get a balance because I was out of region.
I saw a notice on the CA Centre-Ouest website not long ago that promised a revamp for on-line banking so our troubles could be yet to come.

Thanks for your reply, and I guess it is regional, but I thought that Credit Agricole might just have used it nationwide. Anyway, I've written to the local paper to see if they are aware and if they can stir things up. We,ll see.

I have just checked mine, and it is working fine. We are Pays de Loire same as you, so perhaps you have some other glitch.

Mine's fine too, I'm afraid. Ile de France.

CA ATM's not working in Chalus and Oradour-sur-Vayres yesterday (CA Centre-Ouest). Had to use Caisse d'Epargne instead.

Me too. We go to France for the space, and end up living on top of each other...
