Hi,

I was on my way back from France last summer and spotted a Ferrari F430 Spider on a red number plate and I'm still baffeled by where it's from. Is it a temporary French plate or is it from somewhere else

They are temporary visitor plates.

Citroen, and possibly others, have a temporary lease scheme for tourists.

Quite rare actually, in 5 years living here I can't recall seeing them on a car.

Something is wrong though as those plates expired at the end of Nov 2010 !

There are also blue ones aswell, which i believe are diplomatic plates. Often seen around Paris.

Coincidentally I saw red plates on a car today.
