Need a Good Place, B&B's, hotel, room to stay in Chambrey?
Discussion
If you mean Chambery, I would head to Aix les Bains a few km away - a pleasant town on the side of the big Lac du Bourget. You should find a range of motels/hotels there from Formule 1 upwards; town is friendly and tidy (spa town dating back to victorian times). It's beside the autoroute so will not be a major detour.
Try to find a hotel that is part of the Logis de France marketing group as they are all privately run (so not bland euro-hotels with a corporate identity that is the same in Stockholm, London & Nice) invariably fantastic value, in good locations. Their restaurants are good because the owners use their initiative rather a corporate menu. Logis have a website.
Roads? I assume you will be coming by autoroute which should be kept clear of snow. Both Chambery & Aix are quite low so dont get as much snow as the surrounding mountains. Accuweather.com is your friend - it gives 15 day forecasts so you will have an idea what to expect long before you depart and can prepare your car accordingly.
Chambery is not bad, but Aix is much, much better.
