Driving in december through the mont blanc tunnel is it ok?
Discussion
In december i need to drive home to Djion, France from rome, italy....
Will the best route be the mont blanc tunnel via Aosta into geneva, etc
this will be around the 15th december, will the tunnel be open and the main roads safe to pass?
Do i need snow chains? if i keep to the main routes?
or is it best to go via torino, and modane via fetjus tunnel into Chambrey?
How safe will this be? snow fall? roads open? places to stay in chambrey?
advice needed?

Shouldn't be a problem as the roads are kept clear on the main routes, however you will need some chains in case the going gets really tough. If you don't you can be turned back at some point.
