I have regularly driven about Europe in Kit Cars without any problems.
Drove from UK to Gibraltar and back in a V12 Roadster kit no problems. Been through Germany Austria Italy Switzerland not a problem.
Your paperwork must be in order, insurance spot on, you need all the bits they expect in the car but really no probs.
Most important factor is having a Kit Car capable of touring.
French Roads or Pave and rock solid suspension would not be fun. A noisy exhaust would deafen you after 48 hours: a good hood and waterproof gear is essential.
Best hood I had was on a Banham X21 rest of the car was very variable but the Hood was small light simple and easy for one man to remove and fit unaided.

I ve preped the car as much as possible changed my steering rack back to a lazy 2.9 from 2.2 fitted master and slave cylinders instead of cable for the clutch even fitted heated seats lolGassing Station | France | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
