So, Brits living in France: will you be voting?

Some prety important ones coming up next year. With the FN coming strong on getting out of the Euro etc and the Left in a bit of a mess plus Sarkozy who will not give up that easily it could be an interesting one.

Just asking since I did the reverse and frankly...didn't make an iota of difference across the Channel. Will give it another go though.

Non-French nationals can't vote in Presidential elections as far as I'm aware....

Well that kills the thread. I thought they would have lined themselves up on other EU countries but after a quick search - which I should have doneBEFORE making an idiot of myself - it seems that you expat in france can only vote for EU representative (France or UK but not both) and for the elections municipales which is not very exciting...

Our Swedish friend married a French guy, 40-odd years ago and has never been allowed to vote.

Well... maybe it's a blessing then. On the other side of La Manche ( ) I am allowed to vote AND I still pay more taxes.

Maybe if you guys stay shtum they won't tax you more
