s.

So, if you receive benefits from the taxpayer, you will be rewarded, by the taxpayer, with an extra 50% for anything you didn't spend on White Lightning, Lamberts and Heat magazine.

It's fking offensive.

It might seem offensive - but the rationale behind this is probably quite good - get the benefits lifetimers saving for their future.

Plus look at the amounts involved - it's hardly big time riches.

I agree it wont make anyone super rich but its not the point, again if you work hard for a living you miss out.

Any extra money that anyone, deserving or otherwise, gets from this scheme will be dwarfed by the admin costs I would have thought. Surprise surprise, more job creation and inefficiencey in the state with little gain for the public at large.

You will then be able to pay up to £25 a month into your account for two years. At the end of the two years the government will make a contribution of 50 pence for each £1 you've saved.
And the likeliness of them managing to not withdraw the money and spend it on a big TV?

HMRC state that you can withdraw your money when you like. So just keep putting in £25pm, earning £12.50 for doing diddlysquat, then withdraw the £25 again.

OK, it's only £150 per year... but still mad
