Get him sectioned before it's too late.

P.s. tell him that lotteries don't just go around awarding prizes to people that don't enter themselves.

Why's the letter dated 24/03/2009? The yanks put the month first.

Ask him to just give you all the money in his account instead.

Of course it's a f***ng scam. IF it was genuine, why couldn't they just post a cheque - they have his address and name and know he has the "winning ticket"...

Tell him to send his details off to them.

That'll teach him never to do it again.

From the bottom of the letter,

"American Lotto Exchange staff has serviced lottery players since 1980

That'll be using the word in the horse breeding sense I suppose!

Tell him to claim you never know this might be the one not scam in the 100 billion out there...He has won the moneys congratulations.

Let the greed get the better of him, let the western society fixation on free money take him for a ride. Do what millions of other 'Winners' have done and pay the admin free... Then ask him to open his eyes...

Now I am just going outside to eat some st..

There is no American Lottery anything! It's state by state. This isn't even realistically fake. They might as well have drawn a US dollar with crayons and told him he'll get a million of them if he gives all his info. Oh my god, don't let him respond to that. That's playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded weapon.

or put it simply

did the OP's father ever buy an american lottery ticket ?

when people buy tickets, they do not give their email address on the back, they simply pay the money and get a ticket

looks like the OP's dad has way too much cash
