Has she earned the right?
Discussion
I have to (potentially) go to Penang on a business trip for 2 weeks.
My missus, as you can imagine, thinks this is great
Anyway, I offered to ring her from there so she could listen to the crickets (she grew up in guam)
"I won't be pleased", she says, "I'll be stuck in this sthole of a country"
Now while I agree that this is indeed a sthole, only having lived here 15 years, has she earned the right to call our sceptred isle, our jewel set in a silver sea, a sthole?
How long does it take to get complain privileges?

I think she should exlian exactly why she thinks its a st hole though
She is married to you, so she has permanent right to reside. Sh is therefore to all intents and purposes British.
Seeing as having a good whinge is third only to queueing and 'avin' a cup of tea in Britishness, it strikes me she's assimilated admirably.
Unless she's actually complaining in a language other than English. In which case shes a dirty no good foreigner who fk off 'ome toot sweet

"Because the weather is crap"
"Because 14 years ago when they put pictures up of Tony Blair with the upside down eyes, she said he was an evil bd and no one listened"
"Because there are no crickets"
"Because it just is"
As thoroughly British as a limp cucumber sandwich with a lukewarm cup of tea."Because 14 years ago when they put pictures up of Tony Blair with the upside down eyes, she said he was an evil bd and no one listened"
"Because there are no crickets"
"Because it just is"
In fact so much in line with us, that she deserves her own PH Login.

Got a decent argument against any of those points? No, me neither."Because 14 years ago when they put pictures up of Tony Blair with the upside down eyes, she said he was an evil bd and no one listened"
"Because there are no crickets"
"Because it just is"

It depends on what she is complaining about. As a rule, if she's complaining it's too left wing then all is well, if she's comlaining it's too right wing she should go back to her own country.
Everyone is allowed to complain about the weather though.
I think she's slightly right of Hitler actually.Everyone is allowed to complain about the weather though.
