Afternoon all,

I've recently bought a new build house that comes under the magic £175k stamp duty bracket. My solicitor informs me i still have to fill out the SDLT1 form and send it off to HMR&C.

She has kindly offered to do this (at a charge) but will "call me back" with the quote.

I don't mind paying someone to do it, but depending on cost i might want to give it a bash myself.

I've had a look at the sample form online and it looks daunting. Can anyone offer any guidance?

ie: can someone here tell me how to do it for free?readit

She should just do it as part of the conveyancing charge and without addition. It's nothing.

i'd have bloody thought so at £957 for "registration, reports and searches".

i'm only buying, not buying and selling too. I was expecting about £1k all in including survey.
