Everyday pointless phrases
Discussion
After finding a lost camera today, I found myself saying a rather pointless commonly-used phrase:
"It's always in the last place that you look".
Now obviously that is rather pointless, because what is the purpose of continuing to look, once you've found it....
Anyway, it got me thinking, what other meaningless or pointless phrases are unwittingly used in everyday life?
I haven't managed to think of any further, so thought I'd open it up to the daytime PHers

I like to dispel common sayings, so after I've found what I'm looking for, I always look in two more places."It's always in the last place that you look".
Now obviously that is rather pointless, because what is the purpose of continuing to look, once you've found it....

"I'm not a racist but..."
"With the greatest/all due respect..."
"Trust me..."
"You're not going to believe this but..."
I also randomly hate like, the random like misuse of like the words "like" and "random".
And people who exclaim "So" in an american style...
"It's like, so random!"
Twats the lot of 'em.

Isnt it supposed to be "It's always in the last place that you would look"?"It's always in the last place that you look".
Now obviously that is rather pointless, because what is the purpose of continuing to look, once you've found it....
Meaning, it's always in the most unexpected place?
