Market Base Transportation Costs

Not sure if anyone here is experienced with this.

I am looking into obtaining formulas etc to determine whether our current transportation is cost efficient. I am looking at all forms of transportation (boat, plane, truck, train). Ideally looking for something along the lines of market base price per kilo per mile.

Searched Google, nothing to up to date.

Anyone done anything similar.
