There is a good reason why I haven't posted this in the Motorsport section, mainly because I don't want to see threads that may contain spoilers to the race in Melbourne this morning, as I was lazy this morning. I decided to miss the live race and have a bit of a lie in.

Some mates are coming round to watch the race this afternoon at 1pm. I just had a quick check in the paper and notice the pre-recorded race is one hour less than the live version ... I'm guessing, much to my disappointment, the BBC have left out the talks before the race frown

I don't know about you, but I quite enjoy the run ups before a race, especially if they are the first of the season and there have been lots of rule changes.

ITV always used to repeat every last word! Bad form by the BBC ... Grrr! mad

No idea if it is repeated on iPlayer, but that's not the same cry

Matt..

Yeah that's a shame frown

They also don't show the hour long chat they had after the GP!

Why not record the race, then watch it in all it's glory whenever one wants?

No build up? rage I thought half the reason we all wanted F1 on the BBC was because it was better.

Was thinking that myself. Then you can always skip through any boring bits too.

Suthil wins and all the others crash at the first corner then have a great big fist fight. LH and KV tag team and slam massa down good, the Stewards then disqualify Piquet for bhslapping Alonso, but then reinstate him as Alonso always desrves a bithslap!

Oooh, sorry, I spoiled it for you!laugh

(Actually, I'd happily pay to see this! )

No spoilers from me, but if you were thinking of giving it a miss - don't. It was an excellent race with nary a dull moment.

you could probably watch the whole thing on Iplayer if you can get to it without seeing the headlines...

Anything is better than having to suffer adverts every 20mins. Good old BBC also use the right theme tune biggrin

If you really enjoy the actual run up and the race you wouldn't of been so lazy biggrin

But really I wouldn't miss the race, was excellent. It is a shame that the highlights aren't the full length. But the actual programme was a million times better than the ITV shows.

I recorded yesterdays build up. The BBC coverage is beyond reproach. The interview with Hamilton at Mac Headquarters in front of that orange F1 long tail nearly made me cum. Well done Beeb smile Superb stuff and well done Bernie, you canny old bd.
