I used to use Marketline for my Transit, based somewhere in East London. Do some great rates if you're a market trader.

Yeah with TL this year can't wait about 80 days now i think.
We must meet up and down a few beers whilst there.

http://www.evaninsurance.co.uk/ served me quite well with my shed of a van. Unlimited mileage policys and European cover as standard for those booze cruises. They do any driver over 21/25 policies too.

  • Their customer service is st, but they're very cheap.
Alternatively Direct Line were also quite cheap for me, who's customer service is slightly better.

I always used to struggle with this with my Mini Pick Up when I was younger. It's technically a 'commercial' vehicle, so most won't insure on a private policy. I ended up with Axa at one point, CIS weren't too bad either.

It'll take a bit of finding, that's for sure.

Will do. We've not booked anything yet but will let you know what campsite and ferry crossing we get.

Mines insured with direct line on an SDP policy. 1.9 petrol VW Transporter or Caravelle (registration document doesn't say either way, it only commits itself as far as "Volkswagen") T25 Syncro. £200/year fully comp (3 years no claims).

+1 for NFU Mutual. I love them. Multiple cars on one policy, no daft questions about why you have a 'non-standard' car, sensible premiums. Nice people to deal with, and a good claims experience when some thieving lowlife scumbag pikey arsewipes stole our Ifor Williams trailer.

I used to insure my van through Commercial Vehicles Direct, they were the cheapest by miles for me (self employed general builder) but their customer service is ste. Direct line weren't too bad quote wise but I decided to sell up and emmigrate before renewing a policy.
