I'm pleased with my bank!!!
Discussion
Incredible their new technology. Yesterday afternoon I got an automated phone call and I nearly put the phone down. I'm glad I didn't. It asked me to confirm my name, gave me three choices of the year of my birth then asked me to tap in the day and date of my birth. Then I was put through to a real person. Apparently the barstewards had somehow cloned my card and spent money in America, France and Germany during the night but only one tiny sum had got through. It's months since I used the card but somehow they cloned it. I looged on to internet banking and already Lloyds had eradicated the details of my card and its account, telling me to cut up the card and they'd send me a new one. Impressive I feel, and no cost to myself or them.

Data brought from an Indian call centre....seems to be the new thing!

Dont ever give details to some one who rings you.
Ring them back on a number you know is correct.
I had my wallet stolen at work a few years back, and before I realised it was missing , I had a phone call from some one claiming to be from Barclays fraud dept, who asked me to check if I had my card in my possesion.
I checked and obviously didnt.
They asked for my pin no. so they could identify me and cancel the card.
I gave them a wrong no then phoned Barclays who knew nothing about it.
We traced the phone number from our 'phone system and they were 20 miles away in a phone box the police told me. They had already bought several computors and other good to the value of several K.
