I am quite young so I was suckered into the facebook thing a few years back.

I setup a profile on there and added a few friends, then other people that are more like acquaintances began adding me, so I have a fair few friends on there now.

Now, first off these emails are really annoying telling you useless st that you don't need to know.

More importantly, there is a photo feature on there for when you have a photo album, now why the fk do people put pictures of themselves when drunk in a club with the background filled with useless imbeciles just like themselves.

Usually you want to project yourself in a positive manner with you in front of some nice scenery, with friends, family etc, or at a special occasion, but why the fk do 99% of my "friends" on there insist on having the majority of their photos when drunk with an alcoholic beverage in their hand?

Well, asking them might bring a better answer than random people on a car website.

Is it because they are s?

Uh, don't look at the pictures of drunk people then?

After doing the Ramshackle Rally Facebook was great for everyone on the rally to share pictures and videos of the good times had even though we had never met beforehand, most of the pictures featured drunk people having a good time.

Don't really sea what you problem is.

You don't have to accept friend requests. Just be a bit more discerning.

So change your settings to stop the emails being sent.

Because they want to? The uncharitable view might suggest that drinking is their only social life, the more charitable view is that they like to share pics of themselves having fun.

Not something to worry about. Just drop them as "friends" if it really annoys you.

More difficult that you might think - in fact, I didn't think you could actually delete a profile?

I think you can turn off all sorts of options in the options section.....

So you can stop e-mails etc..and you can restrict your profile. Also you can delete friends so they can no longer see your profile I think.

I don't think you can stop people putting up pics...

Lets sign up to facebook so 'old friends' can get in contact with you.

Er, why exactly?

All of my old friends that are current friends are current friends for a reason

ie I didnt lose contact with them, as they are my urm, friends.

My other half is on there, and constantly gets the 'will you be my friend' request from folk she was at school with- including a recent one, where a girl from her school (20 years ago) was accpeted as a friend, even though she couldnt stand her when at school.

I really cant see the point of it, and agree in part with the OP- why post pictures of yourselves acting like a tt? A fair few folk tell me its so you can stay in touch with people easily, can i assume that is the end of the phone then???

And as for the comments people leave on there..................Sharon is bored.

How bored exactly??? Bored enough to be spending time on a 'social networking' site telling everyone else she is bored???

Social networking, what could be more sociable than sitting, alone in your house, telling random people what you are doing.

Turn off, go to the pub
