Time to cash in premium bonds?

Well thats me pulling my money out of Premium bonds. From April 1st 2009 the prize fund will drop from the already low 1.8% to a stupidly low 1.0% of the total invested.
They are also taking away one of the £1,000,000 chances and upping the small prize pots including adding another level of a mighty £25
or less than half a tank of fuel in most cars.
Clicky for confirmation the country is screwed if even the government backed safe way of keeping your money is offering almost no return.
