Hoping some of the people on here can share their wisdom. I recently sold my girlfriend's blackberry storm on ebay and the transaction went swimmingly. I had the phone on contract with Vodafone put couldn't get along with it so stuck it on ebay. I reset the phone before I sent it off but the buyer says the e-mail functionality is locked until we release it. My girlfriend was on the phone to Vodafone's Mumbai contact centre for half an hour today but they were unable to help as apparently it's the phone thats locked for e-mail and nothing to do with Vodafone. Any ideas how I sort this out, struggling with searches on google etc. Any help is much appreciated!

was it set on Internet server or Enterprise server?

If it was on Enterprise server you need to delete the device from your server, if its on Internet server with voda then they need to delete it to release the PIN of the BB device, so it can be registered with another BB service/server. I am a groupwise guy but thats how I understand it (and I could be very wrong)

That's it, if you registered it on vodafone blackberry internet service https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=vodauk

then they won't be able to use it.
You need to ask voda to remove the registration from there.

Once you set up your Blackberry service on your contract, they send through the extra icons etc including email icon. We had this with all six of our blackberrys. Its because he hasn't got the service books sent through. Its worth him logging in to www . mobileemail.vodafone.net and registering to get the service books sent through if he has the service set up on his contract.

Apparently she didn't register it on the web, did it all through the phone set up. The guy on the phone didn't know what she was on about. The guy who bought it as supplied the IMEI no. which I believe is the phone's id essentially, and also a pin but not sure what she's to do with it. Cheers for the input fellas.

You can do the setup on the phone too somehow.
