Its the other half's birthday next week and I'm stumped at what I can get her. We haven't been going out that long so I don't want to go mad but at the same time I want her to like it - obviously! I've got limited info really but I know she loves the 60's and she also dresses well, so has anyone got any suggestions?

I did think about the Beatles tour in Liverpool but she's done that

Buy her an iron or a food processor or something. If she thanks you and says it's lovely, then present her with her proper gift - a nice retro watch or something?

If she flings the first present at you and flounces out in a huff, be grateful you found out about what she was like before you got any further in the relationship. biggrin

I did this at Christmas. Didn't go down too well, however it made me smile.

I had the same issues with my OH and her 30th... was going to do elephant keeper for the day as she loves nellies.... but after getting her sister to find out if she would like it.... the answer was a big fat no as zoos are cruel.

Backup plan was a ring and a ring is what she is getting... amongst other things smile

Plonk a bucket of potatoes down in front of her. Take her hand, kiss it, and whisper:

"So you can make chips".

I can see this going south. Quickly.

In the PH spirit of things though - how's about a driving experience - or hire her a 60s car for the weekend. E type anyone?

I bought my wife a double sink for christmas as a jokey present.
She was made up with it.
Don't thinks she's ever worn the necklace I got her as the proper pressie.

Are you single?

To the OP, what are her hobbies or interests?

So, tickets to a concert of a band she likes? Tickets to see a musical in London?
