so I've applied for a couple of jobs at the same company, for which the deadlines are tomorrow. So they should be collecting the CV's etc next week and sorting through them.

Is it too keen to ring early next week to say hello...hope you got my cv etc etc and ask when they might be interviewing potential candidates?

thoughts appreciated

Show keen, there's no harm in calling them.

The question that would raise with me though, is why have you applied for two different jobs with the same company? What is it you actually want to do? Applying for both suggests you don't know and that hints that you might well decide neither, the other one or something else entirely in the next 6 months.

Without knowing the industry, the jobs and the context it's a bit hard to say anything specific, but I'd have a think as to how you will answer those questions between now and calling them on Monday.

Agree with the above re applying for 2 different jobs.

Although if you're ringing HR you could work this to your advantage, ring them up and explain you thought you were suitable for both but would be happy to discuss which one they think you're most suitable for
