I'm assuming that we are talking about tesco car insurance/tesco direct here, as outsourcing the local supermarket is just plain dumb! If it is the insurance side of things, then that is operated by uki which is part of rbs group, so not tesco staff as such! Still not good though, used to work for the car insurance side, will put a fair few people out of work here in doncaster!

That company was once a client of mine. They are the most amoral, abusive, aggressive bunch of people I have ever had the displeasure of "working" with.

I never ever give them any of my money if I can possibly help it.

No! we are talking of 50 people in their Cardiff offices, who ensure that product is in the stores, also some HR people, lets see if it's in tomorrows papers.

Up here in sunny Essex, I would say they are better than Tesco or Sainsburys, I'm not rich enough to try M&S. Maybe M are trying harder.

Ahh did you not hear about the Dundee...In 2007, more than 400 jobs were lost in Dundee when Tesco abandoned its distribution centre in the city and relocated work to Livingston.

Okay the jobs stayed in Scotland, but still these people were told travel, or leave irked

And I know this is true, as a close friend worked in the centre.

I don't think you are allowed to say, scheming, greedy, cheating, profiteering ripp off merchants, with absolutely no moral values. If however you can persuade a mod to amend it.

I got refused to buy a couple of bottles of Golden Glory in the local Tesco tonight.
"Sorry love, if you don't look over 25 we have to refuse you." Said the dim bint.
Despite my clearly looking well over 18, at 24, makes no difference it appears. Stupid idea, fkwit staff. I won't be returning anytime soon.

Business is merely a game, it's not about trying to keep stakeholders that aren't that important happy !

If they can reduce costs then why the hell not! Just because some people don't want to be made redundant shouldn't stop tescos making more profit at all.

It's a business not a charity get with it rolleyes
