This has recently happened to me causing damage to my wheel and tyre. I have logged the complaint with the council and the hole has been filled. I have also completed the claim forms sent to me from the Council only to receive a letter today from Zurich insurers saying that there client was not liable for the damage caused mad

Has anyone on here been successful with a claim ?
Should I try to pursue the £300 bill that i have incured or take it on the chin...

They (council) usualy say that the pot hole has to have been reported first.

So, if it's not been reported by somone else already they will not let you claim.

Question, is what evidence do you have that is was reported. You could always say you hit it couple of days ago and reported in then !!

The hit is again and damaged the wheel.

Fill out moneyclaim. What's the worst that could happen? Lose another £20?
