Just got back from a vide-ing of the afore mentioned flick. I found it more of an experience than a solid movie, but I left pretty impressed... Natural Born Killers meets Porridge?

Anyone else seen it? Opine!

I read his book last year about his time in prison with Ronnie and Reggie, which was very good. Might have to see this film now!

The only film in a long time where I actually want to go to the cinema to see it. His Wikipedia page is very interesting, 2,500+ push ups a day yikes

I found the trailer made the film look a lot more action packed than it was, however i did enjoy it if a little slow and uneventful.

Reviews I've read suggest that Chopper was better.

I guess he has plenty of time to do them, courtesy of the taxpayers pocket that has funded his totally pointless life...

His website makes for a fascinating read:

http://www.freebronson.co.uk/about.htm

I've read each of the letters he has written, very interesting to hear his account of things. There is a good article in the independent too about the guy.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/visitin...

It does make you wonder if some people can have a total change of heart and a new outlook. Should he be allowed out? Is all the 'i'm a changed man' stuff just a cover to try and get himself out?

To try and keep this post remotely on topic, i haven't seen the film yet, but hope too soon!

If he is released he will make a fortune from becoming the next overnight celebrity. You will see him feted in the media, all over Big Brother, turning up to film premieres etc.... endlessly rewarded for being a violent criminal.

Nah, let him stay where he is.

All I was saying is that he is an interesting character, regardless of being a criminal.

If he wasn't such a thug he would have been out in 4 years instead of being locked up for the last 34 years. Then again if he wasn't such a thug he wouldn't have been in prison in the first place.

The interesting thing is his background:

His parents, Eira and Joe Peterson, ran the Conservative club in Aberystwyth, and his uncle and aunt were mayor and mayoress of the resort town in the 1960s and 1970s. His aunt Eileen Parry, is quoted as saying "As a boy he was a lovely lad. He was obviously bright and always good with children. He was gentle and mild-mannered, never a bully - he would defend the weak."

When he was a teenager, Bronson moved with his family to Merseyside, where he started getting into trouble."

Now what event in his childhood could have resulted in him becoming a criminal??

You've quoted that directly from Wikipedia. It was written by a Mr C. Bronson, c/o Solitary Confinement, Wakefield High-Security Prison.

I won't argue with any of that just in case he gets out. "I'm Charles Bronson and you updated my wiki entry. You're Dead".
