I find its not too easy to dispose of these, recycling company want £90 call out charge plus £10 per drum ,scrap man says we have to cut them in half length ways and the solvent supplier doesn`t want them back confused
Does nobody have a use for these?

Cut in half, make barbeque smile

Eating roadkill, marrying cousins, driving battered pickup, playing banjo are all optional

I'm actually doing this as we speak!

I would have taken the barrel but have just soured one.

Just finished the motorised chain driven spit roast mechanism.

ETA How MUCH????????!!!!!!!! £250 for a cut in half barrel and some length of 'inch' box section!

I need to go into business making these!

Here's one I made earlier:

You'll need three supermarket trollies too, but they don't really dent the budget- they're only £1 each!

Sadly not, the Motor and Gearbox came from an RC tank, then added my own made chain gear driving a bike chain and bottom bracket from a bike.

The barrel looks cool as it is a full liveried Texaco red and black barrel.

Here are the initial engineering sketches:

Any PH'er want one? £150 mates rates.....

That Somerfield special is a canny bit of engineering.

I would use the barrels to make some form of a raft myself.

Call a local shipping company that specialises in personal effects. They'll probably collect them for free.

Yup. I run a local scout group and we could use about 5 of these just now. Can't find them for love nor money in Edinburgh. See if you have a group with their own hall local to you who might want them.

Good point might get on to the supplier again.
