Home telephone with headset?
Discussion
My sister is after a home cordless digital phone that comes with a heatset, so she can natter whilst doing chores, etc.
Does anyone know of a reasonable package that incorporates this for home/small office useage? And where is the best place to find them?
So far I have only found a Siemens one. But surely there must be more to choose from, that I hav'nt found yet.
Any help appreciated.

You could search for Bluetooth DECT. I have a one of these headsets and it works pretty well and you just have to register it with your primary DECT phone. The only thing is for outgoing calls you have to use another handset to dial the numbers then transfer the call to the headset. Its not difficult when you get the hang of it.

I have a plantronics wireless headset on my office phone. The box sits between the handset and the body of the phone pigy backing the signal to the handset. Phone can be used with or without the headset. And it reaches the coffee machine without signal issues

I have a Plantronics earpiece (Panasonic handset) at home, i like the idea of doing something useful whilst on the phone. My only complaint is it starts giving a low battery beep every 15 seconds after about 5 mins, damned annoying. Maybe it's a duffer.hth

I had exactly the same issue a couple of years ago. It was a bugger because most wireless headsets are Bluetooth and home phones don't use Bluetooth.
I settled on a Panasonic cordless home system and Plantronics headset. The phone sees the headset as an extra phone. You can't dial a number on the headset but you do this on the Panasonic part and then transfer the call (INT > extension number) and accept it on the headset. Then you can use a landline and still wander round the house chatting with both hands free

The Plantronics seems the way to go by the look of things. So this appears to be the most reasonable on to go for, along with the trio Panasonic phone set:

If anyone knows where I can get this bundle cheaper; I'm all ears

Mrs Orb(s) has one on her desk - it's a Panasonic, two nice cordless handsets, colour display, speakerphone and came with a Plantronics Bluetooth headset.
It's a couple of years old and the handsets are a (hang on...) KT-TGA810E (it says on the bottom).
When she got these they were the best of the bunch.
At least I *think* it's a Bluetooth set - it says Plantronics and C65 on the back.

For my home office I have one of these:

With one of these plugged into it:

Fabulous call quality, battery life and range - can't fault it.
Did try the old DECT headset thingy, but having to transfer calls to it when making outgoing calls made it unworkable, and also the battery life was never that good.
