Just a heads up for those that don't buy dvd's or get to the cinema much, this film is on Channel 4 tonight at 10pm, premier I think.

Good film imo, it has a very strong cast, and some great twists.

really? where? They were blooming obvious to me, most overrated film ever. Quite why Scorcese got an oscar for this instead of his previous work is a mystery, probably guilt on the part of the academy. Its not bad but certainly no masterpiece.

I suppose they are things you would expect, but its not that bad. I do agree with your second point, soe of his other films are great, and more deserving than this one.

I didn't actually rate it that bad, his character was an asshole obviously, irrc he actually was nominated for an Oscar for his role in said film..

its just "council" channel 4, but its a terrestrial premier of the film

I just couldn't shake the feeling that he couldnt really be bothered with the film. As if he turned up, said his lines then went home again.
