Queue last night a neighbour (all students) is having a party... dont mind and dont care, what i did mind is the loud music and talking/outside til 6am this morning that meant me and my neighbours got no sleep (got a text off both of them complaining of the noise).... I thought it would end at 2-3am but nope frown one went round and got no luck in getting them to keep the noise down to acceptable levels.

So had a word with the direct neighbour to them to exact a bit of revenge on them this morning, went down to see him and sorted out his music system to point all speakers to the wall a joining the property that they live in at 9am.... he then took the system test cd that tests the sub woofer/bass/tweeters and mid range speakers with random noises.

Set that up for 9am and then turned it on loud, on repeat and then we all went out for breakfast and came back at 1pm..... Hope the fkers learned their lesson now.

So was that just childish or justified, what would you do? Couldnt be bothered with calling the police, etc.

hehe, justified I reckon. We're students, and the annoying people next door compained (but theirs wasn't justified, they're just annoying)... so hooked up all our speakers (quite a few for 5 students) at the adjacent wall and gave it hell at various hours of the day... they soon learned.

They once complained that the jackhammer in the street was coming from our house FFS! banghead

My mung bean eating arty ponce neighbours stayed up till 5am one weekend a few weeks ago playing bongo drums and a sodding flute and strumming a fecking banjo, I got nil sleep and got out of bed in the worst mood ever, I retaliated in a spectacular fashion by hooking up my old 1 kilowatt PA amp to the massive 14 inch full rangers I have in a pair of huge cabinets and pumping Pink Floyd's The Wall at the shared wall for the entire album while I went out side to hoover and wash the car.

I hope they do it again, Its one of those albums you need to feel as well as hear.

A few years back my brother kicked the front door of the neighbours off its hinges, removed the main 70A fuse and returned home, leaving his two rotties in the front porch.

I've had some rather loud young 'uns move into the flat below me. From the brief glimpses I've had into the flat, it's all laminate flooring which, from where I'm sitting, turns the whole flat into an echo chamber. They have a very bass-heavy sound system which was rattling my windows last weekend; I simply fired up the Monolith and gave them a quick demo.

They turned theirs down shortly afterwards.

Similar thing going on here. They stay up all hours making noise and messing about in the garden all weekend but they seem to forget that im up at 6 o'clock Monday to Friday. I often bang on the door until I can hear one of the wasters moving around inside then scamper off like a child.

Oh and they have had half a kebab through the letterbox too.

No, because that is normal neighbourly behaviour in Luton

Similar thing happened not too long ago at my gfs house - next door were playing loud music for hours. It was still going on at 3am, was up at 6. So I took my little triangular key, opened up the box in their side entry and flicked the main switch.

They didnt have a clue, as the music sure didnt come back on.
