Well, last week was a hell of a week.

Thursday was the winner. I have been on a fitness challenge with some of the blokes in the office for 2 months – so no heavy lunching or drinking during the week, plenty of exercise. And it’s gone well – have lost just over a stone in 8 weeks. Clearly, we went out to dinner to celebrate. Clearly (now having the alcohol tolerance of a day old kitten) we got magnificently hammered. Clearly, we went to meet the girls from the office. Clearly we got even more drunk. And clearly we took the girls to a strip bar, and bought them plenty of lapdances. Clearly I woke up at 10am on Friday morning, meant to be at work, with two of the girls. Who work for me. So now I’m back in this situation. Again. And one of them’s no looker, I can tell you.

This is actually really bad. Funny, but really bad. I’m hiding in my office today. It was, to be fair, a very amusing night (the parts that I remember, anyway). But I am getting a lot of abuse, when I can be found by people.

At least in other dating news, things are going well. The “stalker” lawyer has actually turned out to be a complete legend – as well as being unfeasibly hot, it turns out that she’s not interested in anything other than lots of casual, erm, encounters. I still can’t quite believe it – I accidentally stumbled on a beautiful girl (who keeps a red silk riding crop hanging on her bedroom door – go figure) whose only seeming interests seem to be partying and not committing to anything. She’s like a female version of me – it’s uncanny. Took her clay pigeon shooting on Saturday as I was going anyway – it was actually one of the most fun dates I have ever had! We’re doing a trackday soon; fun girl.

Unfortunately, things went a little wrong yesterday, as we were out and about on the King’s road ran straight into ex-Lady Flashman shopping with her friends. That was uncomfortable. I’m not terribly popular at the moment. I was going to tell her eventually, but haven’t really got around to it, and unfortunately she found out by running into us both. Think any chance of friendship may have been scuppered, which is a shame.

So, have signed up to a couple of dating websites; something I have never done. Also going speed-dating for the first time this week. Looking forward to both; any tips on finding the ones that don’t want a relationship (or at least the ones that will believe that I really do when I lie through my teeth) would be appreciated.

Have a good week chaps. I know a number of us have seemed to break up with long term partners around the start of this year, judging from the threads. I’ll repeat what I’ve said before – get to the gym, sharpen up your confidence and your game, and things get better; they really do. Was wiped out a couple of months back. Now it’s all just a bad memory that’s receding fast!

Have a good week.

Ex didn't turn up to the party - however, all her friends did, and it was pretty uncomfortable. All moot now as she saw me randomly on Sunday anyway. Lawyer girl and I just got unfeasibly drunk and behaved badly. The boys loved her - which unfortunately made ex-Lady F's friends give me even more daggers.

I have a number of missed calls from ex Lady F. I'm not picking up my messages, in a properly cowardly fashion. I do care about her, but also know that I'm going to get some emotional battering for this one...

Have had a couple of properly psychotic texts from a couple of her friends. Hoping that she herself won't behave like that...

Forward them to the ex.... "Your mates are all nutters....one of the reasons I wasn't prepared to commit. Didn't want to tell you before."

really, why is it such a big problem about your EX and her mates?

your not with her any more? so why does she care about who you are with unless she still wants you?

TBH what I would have done when her mates were there was make those daggers razor sharp [if you know what I mean] there her mates, they came to a party and knew that your new bit would be there, why the hell do you care what they think.

so in short, you with new bit see's EX and she gets narky.

obv she still has feeling for you or just never wants you to be happy, either way, just ignore her and her mates.

That's a bit risky, given Flashman's history...

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my Italian teacher doesn't date her students. Bugger.
