Right am going there on friday. I have heard good things about it. What are peoples experiences?

Just a more private area, dark, usually a real fire burning in the fireplace. No restrictions as such but due to its size its usually full.

While since I've been though, let my membership lapse. Its worth no wehere near what they charge nowadays and the drinks food have got a lot more expensive than when it first opened.

Not sure but it's not really the right place for 'pulling' unless you are up for spending £50k on plonk and have the chauffeur waiting outside. Unless you are famous of course.

Along the same lines as the "look how hip we are, we don't even have a sign outside saying that this place exists" nonsense.

Probably prefer their sister place, Players Lounge but there are many better places to spend a fortune in London.

Thanks for the heads up....

I have to arrange another night out for the week after. What would you recommend? Something with a decent crowd, friendly people and not rammed to the rafters. Cost wise anything on par with Milk and Honey is acceptable but somewhere reasonable if there is such a thing in london would be good..
And nice women would be a bonus too

Think about what you want from a night out.

They really dont like noise - I once nearly got thrown out for playing hungry hippos with a mate at a table during his birthday drinks.

It is not a place you interact with other group i.e. no dance floor etc.

It is good for a 1 to 1 date. Groups wanting to have fairly noisy banter (e.g. laughing) over drinks would be better off elsewhere.

I believe you have to be a member to book an area (£250 last time I looked, but there is a waiting list).

DJC - it is a cocktail bar in Soho. Styled like a prohibition-era speakeasy, but with no cabaret show. It is dark and very small (cosy).

The players bar reminds me of bar in a P&O ferry, dont know why.

It's a restaurant and bar on Regent Street.

Google "cocoon" and "regent street" or similar.


Could also try Hakkasan if you're looking for a restaurant/bar sort of place.

If you want more nightclub-style try Movida.
