Lord Ahmed .Why did this not make the news?

A member if the house of lords threatens to mobilise 10,000 to stop free speach and not a peep on the news? Or was it mentioned and I missed it?
"A member of the Lords intended to invite her colleagues to a private meeting in a conference room in the House of Lords to meet the Dutch politician Geert Wilders, an elected member of the Dutch parliament, to watch his controversial movie Fitna and discuss the movie and Mr. Wilders’ opinions with him.
Barely had the invitation been sent to all the members of the House when Lord Ahmed raised hell. He threatened to mobilize 10,000 Muslims to prevent Mr. Wilders from entering the House and threatened to take the colleague who was organizing the event to court. The result is that the event, which should have taken place next Thursday was cancelled"

I had thought about posting a link but previous experience taught me I would simply be hounded by certain PH's as a racist bigot and accused of all sorts of lies. I think HE is the racist bully, especially if you follow through all of the links. How the hell did he get to be in that position in the first place. Blair and his failed multi-culturism has a lot to answer for and I hope the history books remember that. I also hope that he lives to see his failed experiment and insane PC turned on it's head and that he suffers in the backlash. He deserves to be shot as a traitor for the damage he's done to this country.

Apparently he is classed as a moderate muslim, noticed that the muslim population is 2.4 million and rising, maybe one day we will have the same problem as the Fijians who are a minority in their own country
Have lived in Saudi Arabia for over a year and you get to see a lot and read of more stuff than you would want to..
eg all women are born ugly and so they need gold and jewels to make them pretty, so any men wearing lots of gold and jewels are presumed to be gay and hence fair target for any religious nutters
importation of drugs = death penalty, has it stopped it ? not by a long chance, but they usually fight to the death if caught
stoning ? they have moved on and now reverse a dumper truck full of rocks and dump it on the person found to be guilty by the kangaroo / sharia court..

Imagine the outcome of this story if an almost identical scenario took place where there was a large white Christian community living in a predominantly Muslim country, even one of the more tolerant ones, and said Christian community had elected representatives in that countries government.....
I'm sure it would be handled with similar delicacy, tact and diplomacy.

i would like to read the other side of the story. it's not typical behaviour for Lord Ahmed. He has been very critical of fellow Muslims in the UK and has openly invited them to leave if they feel their allegiances are elsewhere.
He is indeed a moderate Muslim.

The house of Lords has plenty of power to stop legislation and bills going through. One man demanding perfectly legal activities stop or else should be news.
